How do you do this motion problem?

I don't know how to figure out this current motion problem.

On a canoe trip, Rita paddled upstream (against the current) at an average speed of 2 mi/h relative to the riverbank. On the return trip downstream (with the current), her average speed was 3 mi/h. Find Rita's paddling speed in still water and the speed of the river's current.

We didn't go over how to solve current motion problems that much in class, so I can't figure it out.How do you do this motion problem? Are you sure she paddled going downstream? If she paddled at 3mph and the current was 1mph, she'd attain a speed of 2mph going upstream. If this is her correct rate and the current is 1mph then she'd have to attain 4mph going downstream. Like you, though, we didn't go over how to solve current motion problems.
