What is the name of the medication invented to cure motion sickness but was later used to cure a different...?

I am looking for the name of the medication that was used to cure motion sickness until they realized it didn't work but used it for another purpose. It is now a common drug that is used but I cannot think of the name nor the purpose. What is the name of the medication invented to cure motion sickness but was later used to cure a different...?You might be thinking of metachlopramide (Reglan), an espohageal and gastric prokinetic (stimulates contraction and propulsion of contents of these organs) that is also used as an antiemetic (prevent nausea and/or vomiting).

Domperidone (Motilium) is also a prokinetic with antiemetic properties, also used to stimulate lactation.

Other drugs used for nausea with multiple purposes:

meclizine (Antivert) - an antihistamine also used for vertigo

hydroxizine (Atarax, Vistaril) - also an antihistamine (allergies)

diphenhydramine (Benedryl) - also an antihistamine (allergies)

chlorpropazine (Thorazine) - also used for psychosis, agitation and hiccups

scopolomine - used as a drying agent, as for reducing saliva in surgical patients, and in irritable bowel

ondrasetron (Zofran) and granisetron (Kytril) are only used for nausea. What is the name of the medication invented to cure motion sickness but was later used to cure a different...?compazine is now used as an anti-emeticWhat is the name of the medication invented to cure motion sickness but was later used to cure a different...?not sure
