Is it legal for a wide receiver in motion to take a direct snap while crossing in front of the quarterback?

This question refers to every level of football. yes it is lsu used to do it quite often you can watch videos of it on youtube i believe it is called the stalefish
its legal, although its not wise, because the wide reciever would get run over pretty quickly
