My X's attorney filed a motion to withdraw and granted in 2007. Can she now file a Motion of Contempt?

The motion of Contempt are for legal fees I agreed to pay in final judgement. My X's attorney filed a motion to withdraw and granted in 2007. Can she now file a Motion of Contempt? You are obligated to pay what is required in the court order.

The attorney's withdrawal only means that the attorney is no longer representing your ex in this proceeding. Your ex or her new attorney may file a motion for contempt, or your ex's former attorney may file a motion for contempt for nonpayment of the legal fees owed to the attorney.

Or you could consult with your attorney to see if the order should be modified. My X's attorney filed a motion to withdraw and granted in 2007. Can she now file a Motion of Contempt? If your exe has withdrawn from the case there will not be a final judgement. Basically the case would be dismissed from the withdrawl and legal fees including filing would be owed by the party filing and each part to thier respective attorny.

does your exe want you to pay for her attorny? My X's attorney filed a motion to withdraw and granted in 2007. Can she now file a Motion of Contempt?yes. The motion is not on behalf of the ex, but on the lawyer's behalf. The lawyer no longer represents the ex, although she can resume that task whenever she wants, but she can always advance her own interests.
