I am interested in doing some stop motion stuff and I was wondering which camera would be better for this a Kodak 2.0 Easyshare digital camera or a JVC minidvd camcorder? Also which software should I get so that I can add in effects and sound. I would like a list of free and pay ones.Which is better for stop motion, mini dv camcorder or a Kodak 2.0 digital camera?First you will have to define what you mean by "stop motion".
If you mean making animated videos using a series of still images, then if the JVC camera has a feature that allows you to video at 5 fps and individual "still" shots, it would be a good choice because the digital frames captured on tape can be transferred to your computer and the video editing program you have and you can craft the "stop motion" video nearly directly.
I could not find any reference to a Kodak 2.0 digital camera, so I cannot comment except to say if it is a still camera, then while taking individual shots will give you come high quality images, you will have to find a program that will allow you to use them to animate your video using still original
