Can I write a motion to dismiss for lack of a speedy trial?

I received a traffic ticket last August (New York State) which I pleaded not guilty to. My case is still awaiting a trial date.

Can I request a motion to dismiss the case for lack of a speedy trial? If so, how would I go about doing that and what should I write?

Thanks for any info. Can I write a motion to dismiss for lack of a speedy trial? No, your constitutional right to a speedy trial does not apply to infractions such as traffic tickets.

It kicks in where there is a possibility of incarceration.
