I saw on the Discovery Channel that you could walk past a motion sensor undetected if you walked slow. Has anybody tried this? Can you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?I've tried it years ago and it works. Can you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?
it will work against a motion sensor because in lamense terms wat these sensors do is take picture with im not sure exaclty what like laser type things and if anything has cahnged to much from the last time to much then it goes of so technically it also wouldnt go off if you could go fast enough but no human can move that fast a laser breaker though wouldnt work no matter how fast or slow you went though because as soon as the sensor opposite of the sending one stops recieving its laser it goes offCan you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?It depends on what type of motion sensor you have. I understand that most household motion sensors are INFRA-RED. This means that the sensors detects changes in HEAT patterns with in the scanned zone.
That's why... if you walk really slow... your heat signature would only be changing slowly, and the sensor does not pick it up. Similarly if you put a heat shield (eg blanket) over you.
Try this test... stand out side the scanned zone.. and throw a pillow into the scanned zone... the motion sensor won't pick it up !!!
LASER beam motion sensors work differently.. and rely on you breaking the path.. like a trip wire.... so it doesn't matter how slowly you trip it.. it's still tripped.... : )Can you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?
What if the motion sensor is a laser beam targeted on a detector, so that if the beam is broken it senses this. That would be a type of motion detector that doesnt care how fast you are walking. Can you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?Yes, also a wool blanket and walking a little bit faster works. Can you really beat a motion sensor by walking slow?
Yes.
