I need the definition of "Projectile Motion" for my vocabulary work. Whenever I look it up the word "Trajectory" pops up.
Are the two words the same?
If not, what is the definition of "Projectile Motion"?Is projectile motion and trajectory the same?"Projectile motion" refers the motion an object undergoes when it enters a constant gravity field and experiences no forces other than that due to gravity, generally speaking. For example, when you throw a ball into the air at a 30 degrees angle.
"Trajectory" refers to the path the object takes. It is also often used to describe paths in general.
So no, the two terms are different.
