I've had knee surgery and i went to PT but i didn't get as much range of motion back in my knee that i would have wished, and i know i can't get it all back but i just want to improve some more so is there anything i can do at home to help?Is there any exercises i can do to improve range of motion in my knee?Yes. Continue exercises you were shown in PT.
Ride stationary bike 10 min. at a time; slowly increase resistance, but don't ride thru pain.
Lie on bed, take towel or thera-band and with your thigh flat on bed, pull your foot toward your upper body. Do 30 repetitions on each knee.
Sit on chair %26amp; elevate knee to straight position; hold 3 seconds %26amp; do slowly. 30 repetitions.
Walk as much as you can.
Lie down straighten leg as much as possible. If you need help, ask someone to hold knee totally straight. 3 reps of 10.
Feel better. Is there any exercises i can do to improve range of motion in my knee?Make progress gradually to get the range of motion. Preferrable to try this after exercise and before you ice the knee. Try 5 % a week and progress to full range of motion. Don't push if it pains.
After you get good range of motion, try stationary bike. GOod luck with your recovery
