What does an open motion hearing in circuit court mean?

I have court soon and need to know what type of hearing an open motion hearing is? Thanks.....What does an open motion hearing in circuit court mean?a hearing is where the sides present their arguments to the judge, who then (usually) makes a decision and/or issues an order. a motion means one of the parties (one side or the other) has presented a request or proposal for something for the judge to decide. I think (not certain) that open means that the hearing isn't strictly private, not a closed hearing.

it is an open hearing on a particular motion that someone submitted, is how I would interpret it.
