What universities can I go to for stop motion animation?

i'm thinking about becoming a stop motion animator when im older and what universities can i go to to become one? Also if u know, what animation studios can i go for it?What universities can I go to for stop motion animation? You won't find any schools that provide stop motion majors. At best, you'll find Animation majors that will provide a stop motion class or two. But you don't need to go to university to become a stop motion animator. All future employers will look at your demo reel and portfolio, not your accreditation. If you really want to be a stop motion animator, you need to just start doing it on your own now to build your skills and portfolio.

You should check out http://www.stopmotionanimation.com

It's a message board filled with stop motion animators helping eachother out. They even have a handbook section that has basic answers and info on a variety of stop motion topics (armatures, sets, cameras, etc)

AnimateClay.com also has some good beginner tutorials:

To animate well, you need to learn and practice the basic principles of animation (they apply to any kind of animation you do: traditional, CGI, and stop motion). Believe it or not, they can all be found online as well.
