Why do I hear a growling noise when my 2002 ford xlt explorer is in motion.?

My explorer recently developed a growling noise when the vehicle is in motion. It has approximately 35500 miles. The tires were worn and I thought that may have been the problem, but I replaced all four and can still hear the sound. I have not noticed any change in performance.Why do I hear a growling noise when my 2002 ford xlt explorer is in motion.?have the wheel bearings checked and repacked....Why do I hear a growling noise when my 2002 ford xlt explorer is in motion.?

Could be a wheel bearing.

if when you swerve side to side if the noise get louder one way and goes away the other it sounds like bearing hubs and no you cant repack them take it in to a shop and have it done
