Can you please help me with these uniform circular motion problems?
4) explain whether each has an acceleration:
- a particle moving in a straight line with constant speed.
- a particle moving around a curve with constant speed. Can you please help me with this uniform circular motion problem?acceleration is the change in velocity... and velocity is direction and speed. so in the first case, a particle moving in a straight line with constant speed, there is no acceleration because speed and direction arent changing, so velocity is constant.
in the 2nd case, the speed is still constant, but the direction is always changing if it's on a curve.... so velocity changes. acceleration is change in velocity, so there is acceleration here.
