How would you apply Newton's laws of motion to real life situations?
How would you apply Newton's laws of motion to real life situations? How would you apply Newton's laws of motion to real life situations?Think about walking for a moment. You are standing still. You apply a small force to start falling forward. You then move your foot to place support under your center of gravity and apply a force to stop yourself from falling any further. The you repeat the same sequence of actions with the other foot. Analyze the motion of your own body as you walk. Think about driving a car on level ground. Initially at rest, it will stay there until you start the engine and apply a force to the wheels at which time it accelerates. When in motion if you stop the engine, the car will coast and through frictional forces in the wheels, will eventually come to a stop. Without friction in the air and the flexing of the tires, the car would continue in motion. All brakes do is added increased friction to stop sooner.
