Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?

My daughter had a fall at the park today it was one of those moments where it just went in slow motion, i could see it about to happen but couldnt stop it. Have any other parents had one of those moments.Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?Yes, when my son who was 2 at the time fell down the stairs and I couldn't help him. It was horrifying. Thankfully, he was left with only a bump but I was imagining all sorts of things!

It was horrible watching it happen but being unable to do anything. It's like those nightmares when you scream and no voice comes out.Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?
Yes, more times than I can tell. The one that stands out the most is the morning that my firstborn son passed away and the paramedics were coming in and there was people everywhere. Everything was a blur and in slow motion. And my mind was so confused, unable to accept that my son had stopped breathing.

Luckily, the rest of those moments turned out with far better results.Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?I've had a few of those. My son has no self awareness or danger levels so he will happily throw himself off the top of a slide or bolt into the middle of a busy road. I've had a few slow mo moments in a park. One in particular was when went to go on this slide that was quite high up and out of no where just decided to throw himself off the top. He bounced thank god off the tarmac and only had a grazed knee but it could have been so much worse.Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?
Yes it happens when there is great danger or crisis .. what is actually happening is that your brain is workign super quickly and so there is an illusion that the world is moving super slowly.

I was involved in an emergency and I ran to the door of some friends and banged on it, and I could see them inside sitting eating at their table. And it seemed that first they completely ignored me, then slowly lifted their heads up and stared blankly at me for ages. So I hammered on the door again wondering why they were acting so dumb and it seemed that they conferred telepathically for a long while before electing someone to slowly stand up and amble across to let me in. Later, of course their version was that I'd suddenly appeared hammering in a frenzy on the door and they rushed to let me in.Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?Yes- J had just started walking and I was using the bathroom. I looked over and he had started pushing the screen door open and was stepping out onto the porch. All at once I screamed his name, cut myself off mid-pee, pulled my pants up and ran. I can't believe how quick I made it to him- he was so close to the stairs that lead to the concrete sidewalk...Parents have u ever had a slow motion moment when u see something about to happen?
I JUST asked my mom that! Haha

My son was at the Zoo, standing on a gorilla statue for a picture and I saw him start to miss a step, but next thing you know he's on the ground eating dirt. Why does that happen....it makes me feel awful :(
Yes when my 2 year old son pressed the red button on the escalator in a department store. The stairs stopped and people fell over in slow motion.

I grabbed him and ran for the exit.

I can still see it 35 years later.
