Why do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?

I only get this jerky small lag motion when I'm shifting from 1st to 2nd sometimes, every other gear is find... any solutions? I drive a mr2 spyder. Why do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?Let the clutch out slowerWhy do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?
Clutch or throwout bearing.Why do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?snap clutching...easy ! slowly !
This is kind of a question that is hard to answer. It could be the way that the car is set up, or it could be the way that you are driving it.Why do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?shift a little sooner and come off the clutch slowlyWhy do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?
No, actually let the clutch out FASTER! That is how clutches go bad- from the driver releasing it too slow. What happens is the asbestoses or organic ( asbestoses is better really- it can take the operators 'slow foot' better as it heats up from slipping)

Okay, imagine if you will a spinning disc with a fiber plate in the middle with another spinning disc on the other side. Well, that is what your clutch is. Without going into how it works, let me explain a couple of simple physics points. First isFRICTION- this is where heat comes from, from two surfaces rubbing against each other. If your clutch contains the ability for this to occur, wouldn't you want to eliminate it? SURE!! Now remember this. Now when I say to treat your clutch pedal like a button, what does this tell you? It means that if you release your foot rather abruptly you lessen the chance for friction to occur, right? SURE!! Why? because you are quickly sandwiching the fiberous disc in between the two heavy thick steel plates that are spring loaded. There, i actually got a little bit technical, but it's the absolute truth about using a clutch. If you ever see someone sitting at a stoplight with their car nudging slightly backward and forward they are burning up their clutch! That is STUPID. Sorry about my anger in this, but I hate seeing people waste money. My suggestion is to start releasing your foot as quick as possible and if it's not working then keep in mind you much you rev the engine between shifts. A person who knows their car can shift almost without a clutch at all. 1st gear is almost impossible to do this, and I don't recommend you destroy a transmission trying to learn, but as far as your spider goes, i bet there are more than a few people who can shift without their clutch altogether from 2nd to 3rd, and 3th to 4th, and 4th...well 5th is overdrive and because the transmission is spinning faster than the engine in 5th gear it is also very difficult to shift without the clutch in these gears too. Did you know that most race cars and motorcycles in competition shift completely without their clutches? I'd read up well on clutches is you drive a car that has one. I once drove a 63' VW Beetle 200 miles with no clutch at all! If I had to stop i just jumped out and push started it, and the rest of the shifting was pretty smooth...well, it was after 10 or 15 miles anyway.
I'd say you're releasing the clutch too quickly. Why do I get a jerky motion when I shift from 1st to 2nd in a manual transmission?
Clutch control is most important. Anyway, get your clutch system checked.
dont let the clutch out too fast and make sure your giving it enough gas.
