How can I convert 50fps to 100fps video to create a smooth and clear slow motion effect using After Effects?

I saw a youtube video that was shot with the same camera i have (the Canon Xl1) and it was very slow motion but amazingly smooth and clear. He said he used a method of temporal interpolation?
