Get it with Wii Sports Resort, that's a good deal, MotionPlus with the game.

Is the Wii Motion Plus worth getting or is it just a gimmick? It works great, but I feel like it's currently just a gimmick. Only a few games right now support the motion plus. I think that until a lot more games come out that support it, that it is not necessary. Maybe wait 6 months to a year and see if every game starts supporting it.If you already own a game like virtua tennis, that really becomes different when you have the motion plus (you can control spin better in that game) and you notice that it would become a different game (because you play tennis for real) then it might be worth it to get the motion plus controllers. For most games and players, it's useless. Is the Wii Motion Plus worth getting or is it just a gimmick?
Some games only work with the motion plus. It's basically a tiny device with software that increases the accuracy/speed at which your cursor on the screen will be able to move.
In my honest opinion, it does work, but it's a sham at the same time. They could have just developed new remotes with the motion plus technology developed into the software of the remote instead. that way you could actually use the joystick at the same time.Is the Wii Motion Plus worth getting or is it just a gimmick?Well, heh, it's a little bit of both. My friends are huge Wii Bowling and Wii Golf fans (from Wii Sports). When they played bowling and golf on our Wii Sports Resort with the Motion Plus, they were shocked at how much harder the game became. My friend could no longer bowl perfect strikes while sitting down, and golf was practically impossible.
So yes, it does really work. But that doesn't make it worth getting (of course, you can't play Wii Sports Resort without it, and that game is fantastic). If you are used to the way you're playing now, the Motion Plus is going to make you change your swing or throw because it becomes dependent on how well you swing or throw. I like Motion Plus a lot because it makes things a lot more realistic, but if you're used to easy mode, you're probably going to hate it.
