How did symmetry principles guide Galileo to the radical concepts of eternal horizontal inertial motion
with constant velocity, and uniform acceleration under gravity, independent of mass? How did symmetry principles guide Galileo to the radical concepts of eternal horizontal inertial motion with c?i am not sure where your teacher is going with this but my guess would be that everything in phsyics seems to be uniform and follow the same laws and symmetry is about being uniform and folliwng same patterns....
so maybe the fact that Galileo noticed the uniformity and symmetry of motion which is why we consider it a constant
i wish i could help more
